Description

The Aries AF-10-3232 Calcor Neutralization Cartridge is a blend of Calcite and Corosex designed to raise the pH of acidic water and allow mineralization. If the initial pH is less than 6.0, Calcite alone does not dissolve fast enough to neutralize the water. The proprietary blend of Calcite and Corosex corrects the pH over an extended range, producing balanced, non-corrosive water that protects plumbing and fixtures.

More Information about Calcor Neutralization
pH measures the acid or alkaline condition of water (0–14, with 7 as neutral). Neutralization cartridges slowly dissolve calcium carbonate and magnesium oxide as water flows through the filter, raising the pH and alkalinity. This reduces corrosiveness and protects plumbing and fixtures. The combination of Corosex® and Calcite® mitigates aggressive acidic water that can leach metals. Dissolution rates depend on water temperature, flow rate, and chemistry, and cartridge capacity will vary with application conditions.
